Asphalt QC Technician

About the role

Martin Marietta is seeking applicants for the position of Asphalt Quality Control Technician. This role offers the opportunity to work with your hands and outdoors, with a preference for candidates with experience but willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Sampling and testing of Asphalt mixtures as well as aggregate products.
• Analyzing test data and recording and reporting results.
• Calibrating, cleaning, and maintaining production tools and testing equipment.
• Understanding the process of keeping materials in specification.
• Communicating with production staff and direct supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong computer and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel to various plant locations on a day-to-day basis.
• A desire for hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• MNDOT Aggregate Production Certification, or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• MNDOT Bituminous Plant 1 Certification, or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $28 - $44.66. Conditions and terms of employment and benefits are in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement for the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 49. This is a safety-sensitive role and Martin Marietta will continue to require drug testing that includes testing for cannabis/THC.
