Asphalt Paving Machine Operator

Location: Southeastern Pennsylvania, South Jersey, Delaware

About the role

Road-Con is seeking an experienced Asphalt Paving Roller Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate a roller to compact asphalt surfaces to the required specifications. This position requires precision and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a roller to compact asphalt surfaces to achieve the desired density and smoothness.
• Monitor the compaction process and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality results.
• Work closely with the paving crew to ensure efficient and effective paving operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the roller.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure the safety of other employees and the public.
• Work in various environmental conditions, including hot surfaces and uneven terrain.

Requirements

• Experience operating an asphalt paving roller.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a consistent and even surface.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Flexibility to work daytime and nighttime shifts based on project demands.
• Understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in asphalt paving or related fields.
• Knowledge of roller equipment maintenance and repair.
