ASPHALT OPERATIONS MANAGER

Leadership and Safety

Provides leadership in ensuring all work is performed safely and environmentally conscientiously. Engages in all aspects of the company's Safety Culture.

Production Management

Analyzes production metrics and recommends improvements and solutions. Oversees staffing and development of production managers, supervisors, and staff.

Maintenance and Facilities

Develops maintenance policy and procedures to optimize building, ground, and equipment functionality. Manages building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management. Monitors operational metrics and collaborates with other departments to meet receipts, production schedules, shipping standards, and targets. Oversees investigations of production delays, disruptions, or quality excursions and implements solutions. Ensures adherence to safety standards, specifications, and budget guidelines for facilities receipts, production, and maintenance work. Oversees contractors for facility renovation projects and advises the GM of Operations on exceeding budget guidelines and recommending corrective actions.

Communication and Coordination

Serves as a liaison to keep personnel informed on communications, decisions, and policies. Supervises and coordinates essential programs such as training, safety, housekeeping, work simplification, cost wage and salary administration, etc. Maintains an effective occupational evaluation and salary program, as well as an employee appraisal system, focusing on employee development.

Project Management

Assists in planning and executing capital improvement projects.
