Asphalt Milling Machine Operator

About the Role

Road-Con is seeking an experienced Asphalt Milling Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate an asphalt milling machine to remove and grind the surface of paved areas. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.

This position is classified as safety-sensitive due to the nature of the work and industry. The role has the potential to pose safety risks to other employees and the public.

Responsibilities

• Operate an asphalt milling machine to remove and grind the surface of paved areas.
• Monitor the milling process and adjust the machine to ensure a consistent and even surface.
• Work closely with the milling crew to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the milling machine.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure the safety of other employees and the public.
• Work in various environmental conditions, including hot surfaces and uneven terrain.

Requirements

• Experience operating an asphalt milling machine.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a consistent and even surface.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Flexibility to work daytime and nighttime shifts based on project demands.
• Understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in asphalt milling or related fields.
• Knowledge of milling equipment maintenance and repair.
