Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and dependable Asphalt Foreman to supervise and coordinate the daily activities of our paving crew. This hands-on leadership role ensures that asphalt paving projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct all aspects of day-to-day paving crew operations.
- Lead site setup, traffic control coordination, and crew safety briefings.
- Ensure proper execution of work according to job specifications, blueprints, and quality standards.
- Cookordinate crew tasks, assign labor roles, and oversee asphalt placement and compaction.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, crew timecards, and production reports.
- Identify and resolve issues or conflicts on site promptly.
- Uphold safety policies and ensure PPE and procedures are followed by all crew members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- 3+ years of asphalt paving experience.
- Strong understanding of asphalt paving methods, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret job plans, grades, and specifications.
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
- Able to work extended hours, weekends, and in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor as needed.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.
- Able to work long hours, including nights and weekends as required by the project.
- Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area.
