Position Summary
A Swing Driver is responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties. The driver is expected to learn different routes and drive various types of garbage trucks. The position is responsible for efficiently servicing assigned customers while complying with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and Company policies.
Your Role
- Drive safely and efficiently to complete assigned routes accurately and on time.
- Learn multiple routes.
- Operate Rear Loader, Front Loader, Side Loader, Container, and Roll-Off trucks.
- Maintain contact with dispatch.
- Participate in all required Company meetings, including weekly safety meetings.
- Assist other drivers with routes when directed.
- Pre- and post-inspection and report.
- Complete route paperwork.
- Work all assigned shifts from the scheduled start time to the scheduled end time.
- Take an active role in improving safety and health in the workplace.
- Report issues professionally to Dispatch.
- Communicate professionally with customers.
- Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.

Requirements
- Commercial Driver's License B (CDL).
- The CDL is a requirement; therefore, an applicant must be 21 years of age.
- Hold a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with an air brake endorsement.
- An acceptable driving record is required.
- Complete pre-employment Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history, and motor vehicle record review.
Physical Demands
- Required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity.
- Requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting to 100 pounds.
- The normal setting for this job is outdoors and/or driving a video/GPS-monitored vehicle.
- Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements, for most of the workday.

Salary
$24.00 - $32.00 per year
