ASIC Design Efficiency Engineer
About the role
NVIDIA is seeking an ASIC Design Efficiency Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers opportunities to innovate and improve hardware accelerators and processors across various platforms including consumer graphics, self-driving cars, and artificial intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative hardware, GPU, and system designs to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Understand and implement design and implementation methodologies to drive PPA (Performance, Power, and Area) improvements.
- Execute and deliver fully verified, high-performance, area and power-efficient RTL (Register Transfer Level) designs to meet project goals.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, verification, and VLSI teams to create industry-leading GPUs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE), or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog or similar Hardware Description Languages (HDL).
- A strong understanding of logic design and computer architecture.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
While a pipeline processor or deep learning accelerator design/architecture background is beneficial, proficiency in performance verification, low-power design, or physical design (such as synthesis or VLSI) is also valued. Scripting knowledge in Python or Perl can be advantageous.
Benefits
NVIDIA offers competitive compensation packages, including a base salary range of $116,000 - $189,750 for Level 2 and $136,000 - $218,500 for Level 3, depending on location, experience, and market conditions. Additional benefits include equity and comprehensive health insurance options.
