Asian Cuisine Chef

About the role

A Chinese Food Cook prepares, with a focus on quality, the food served within our Chinese food area of the delicatessen. You work with a variety of cooking tools, utensils, and products to create mixes, sauces, meals, and more. When you’re not prepping or cooking, you help ensure shelves are stocked and cooking areas are safe, neat, and clean. The role also includes managing inventory and ordering to keep the kitchen stocked with the right ingredients and supplies. You maintain an atmosphere of customer engagement, emphasizing fast and friendly customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Chinese cuisine with a focus on quality
• Use cooking tools, utensils, and products to create mixes, sauces, and meals
• Maintain stocked shelves and clean, safe cooking areas
• Conduct regular inventory and ordering to ensure kitchen supplies are available
• Engage with customers to provide fast and friendly service

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Previous experience providing great customer service
• Enthusiasm for cooking and following recipes
• Adaptability to varying environments (e.g., freezer, fridge, food prep area)
• Pride in your work, regardless of task size
