About the role

The Via Ferrata Attendant manages daily guest services, general facility operations, and rule enforcement at the Ashley Gorge Via Ferrata (AGVF) to maintain an organized and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Verifies entry paperwork and tracks daily attendance records.
• Ensures all guests strictly adhere to posted property rules, trail etiquette, and standard regulations.
• Greet visitors professionally, deliver route orientations, answer inquiries, and share standard site protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of reception areas and trailheads.
• Monitor daily weather conditions for operational scheduling and coordinate with the county supervisor on maintenance needs or trail updates.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age at the time of hire.
• Completed or in-progress high school coursework preferred.
• A valid CPR/First Aid certification or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Passes a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Completes mandatory county training covering via ferrata operations, gear inspection protocols, waiver verification software, and emergency response procedures.
