Job Overview

The Aseptic Production Supervisor plays a key role in executing assigned Aseptic production tasks. This includes being responsible for:

  • the performance of aseptic production and personnel across all shifts;
  • generating shift reports and improvement plans.
  • Key Responsibilities

    Maintains all production operational plans to ensure goals and efficiency requirements are met.

    • Monitors conditions that have or will adversely affect production or customer satisfaction, including interruption of plant utility services and brings to the attention of senior shift leadership.
    • Maintains the status of production lines – across all shifts – and assesses current versus planned production.
    • Uses Human Machine Interface (HMI) to monitor production and processing activity. Assesses current status versus the planned status.
    • Investigates and takes action to remedy deviations from plan as necessary.
    • Sets up, operates filling, cooler, and packaging equipment to assist in production as needed.
    • Ensures all required documentation is thoroughly completed, signed off, and properly filled out/legible in a timely and compliant manner.
    • Notifies others of mechanical malfunctions to increase productivity and equipment capabilities and identifies areas where operators can assist in resolving concerns.
    • Covers maintenance activities with assigned maintenance personnel, as necessary.
    • Complies with GMP’s, SOP’s, corporate and/or plant policies, rules, and regulations. Addresses any issues of non-compliance and reports them to senior shift leadership.
    • Communicates effectively between shifts and other departments – verbally and in writing.
    • Covers breaks, lunches, and other staffing needs assigned by their supervisor/manager.
    • Complies with all legal requirements concerning dairy processing and safety. Reports concerns appropriately.
    • Oversees training of production personnel on production equipment, protocol, and systems.
    • Audits the work of production personnel to ensure accuracy, quality, and work completed in a timely fashion.
    • Affords assistance in interviewing and selection process of production team; responsible for timely and engaging performance evaluations, administering appropriate corrective actions as pre-approved by HR.
    • Affords assistance in management of employee development plans – documentation and administration, to ensure a department that sustains a customer focus, flexibility, and strong business acumen.
    • Manages performance plans to include employee assignments, expectations, and goals.
    • Promotes and supports an environment of continuous improvement.
    • Supervises production team by leading by example to gain trust and integrity.
    • Handles employee inquiries and solves problems while maintaining confidentiality.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • A GED or High School Diploma is required.
    • An associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
    • Three (3) years of direct manufacturing experience is required.
    • Direct dairy industry experience is highly preferred.
    • A Better Process Control School (BPCS) certificate is required.
    • Mechanical skills relevant to the assigned equipment are required.

    6750 Benedict Road W, East Syracuse NY 13057
    N1
    6pm-6:30am rotating weekend schedule.

    Pay and Benefits

    • Hourly Range – $33.50-$40.75 per hour
