MISTAFF is a collaborative effort of the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators, Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators, Michigan Association of School Boards, Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principators Association, and Michigan School Public Relations Association.

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet state and district standards.
• Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback to students, parents, and administrators.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community members to support student success.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline in accordance with school policies.

Requirements

• Valid Michigan teaching certification or eligibility for certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field; Master’s degree preferred for some positions.
• Demonstrated experience in classroom management and differentiated instruction.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
