Asbestos Supervisor
About the role
EnviroVantage, Inc., an industry-leading Environmental Remediation & Demolition Contractor established in 1985, seeks to expand its team. The company services projects nationwide and across the Caribbean, known for its expertise in Hazardous materials handling and Demolition for Government, Commercial, and Industrial projects.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct field crews and subcontractors
- Cookordinate onsite work
- Ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently
- Implement project-specific work plans
- Manage crew's labor and equipment time to achieve maximum productivity and meet budgets
- Interface and communicate professionally with clients
- Oversee delivery and off-loading of supplies and materials
- Complete daily field reports
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an Asbestos, Demolition, or Construction Supervisor
- Minimum of 2 years related field experience with construction and management
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
- OSHA 10 and HAZWOPER 40 required (certificate within 30 days of hire)
- 40 hour Asbestos Supervisor certification required
- Ability to manage budgets and schedules preferred, but not required
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment preferred, but not required
- Torch cutting and Rigging experience preferred, but not required
- High School Diploma, GED, or vocational schooling preferred, but not required
Working Environment/Physical Demands
- Must be able to perform tasks involving bending, lifting, walking, carrying, and using a force equal to lifting 50 to 100 pounds
- Qualified candidate must pass a physical examination by a medical professional for anticipated work requirements
- Must pass a background check and be able to obtain access to military bases across the United States
- A valid driver’s license is required, along with a safe driving record as measured by company policy
