Responsibilities
- Monitor asbestos abatement activities to help ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and approved work practices.
- Cook up coordination with building owners, contractors, consultants, and regulatory representatives.
- Review project documentation, maintain field records, and prepare clear reports.
- Support inspections, air monitoring, visual evaluations, and project closeout activities as assigned.
- Aid with other environmental consulting services, including hazardous building materials, indoor air quality, environmental site assessments, and regulatory reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science, earth science, or a related discipline.
- Connecticut asbestos project monitor licensing is preferred; qualified non-licensed candidates will also be considered.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Willingness to travel throughout Connecticut and other New England locations.
