Asbestos Project Oversight Specialist

Responsibilities

• Monitor asbestos abatement activities to help ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and approved work practices.
• Cook up coordination with building owners, contractors, consultants, and regulatory representatives.
• Review project documentation, maintain field records, and prepare clear reports.
• Support inspections, air monitoring, visual evaluations, and project closeout activities as assigned.
• Aid with other environmental consulting services, including hazardous building materials, indoor air quality, environmental site assessments, and regulatory reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science, earth science, or a related discipline.
• Connecticut asbestos project monitor licensing is preferred; qualified non-licensed candidates will also be considered.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Willingness to travel throughout Connecticut and other New England locations.
