About the role
Support SVP Customer Engagement Program administrative duties as assigned.
- Research and report out on a variety of topics as assigned.
- Attend Customer Engagement related events in the community to promote SVP’s customer programs.
- Track existing customer program efforts.
- Participate in internal planning meetings and customer working groups.
Qualifications
Required:
- Knowledge of Microsoft suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Good communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license.
Skills
Preferable:
- Basic knowledge of desktop and mobile device operating systems (Windows, IoS).
- Familiarity with common office software (Microsoft Office, Adobe).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with an ability to work with both hardware and software issues.
- Knowledge of networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently when required.
- Enthusiasm and drive to learn and improve technical knowledge.
- Prior internship or experience in IT support is a plus but not required.
Operations, System Expansion, or Asset Management Intern II/III
- Assist with ACAD electrical drawing changes;
- Assist with Electrical Sub-station Equipment maintenance;
- Assistance with research and creation of standards and specifications;
- Organize file folders and project directories;
- Assist in review of Public Works specifications and bids;
- Conduct Field measurements, assist with utility design activities, and update record drawings;
- Assist in the review of plans and specifications for compliance with City rules and regulations and City engineering standards;
- Provide support for engineering projects including filing and data entry;
- Aid in digitizing engineering documents and records;
- Research past projects to create historical cost sheets for further cost estimates;
- Aid in close out portion of projects to cleanup files for archiving;
- Assist with electrical load research;
- Aid in renewable power records and mapping.
- Attend project design and construction meetings and create meeting minutes;
- Prepare meeting agendas;
- Track procurement efforts for owner procured materials as well as drawing deliverables;

Compliance Intern II/III
- Assist the Electric Program Manager (EPM) of Safety & Compliance with conducting safety audits and inspections for compliance and hazards.
- Assist EPM Safety & Compliance with developing and delivering safety training materials.
- Collecting, analyzing, and reporting safety data, incident trends, and compliance metrics.
- Helping implement risk assessments, identifying hazards, and helping implement controls.
- Aiding EPM Safety & Compliance with the review, updating, and creating health and safety programs.
- Working with SVP staff to ensure compliance requirements are met.
Transmission & Distribution Intern II/III
- Support with general implementation of SVP initiatives such as ARCOS.
- Provide assistance with data entry and quality assurance (QA) tasks, including work order QA and reconciliation of various operational databases to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain asset inventories, track equipment condition and location.
- Aid in other duties as needed.
Cybersecurity/Windows Server Intern II/III
- Assist with vulnerability management activities, including reviewing vulnerability scan results, validating findings, organizing remediation data, and helping track remediation status.
- Support vulnerability remediation efforts by helping identify affected systems, document responsible owners, track corrective actions, and follow up on outstanding remediation items.
- Assist with prioritizing vulnerabilities based on severity, exploitability, affected asset criticality, exposure, and operational impact.
- Help maintain vulnerability management dashboards, spreadsheets, tickets, reports, and status summaries for management and technical teams.
- Assist with patch management tracking for Windows servers, endpoints, applications, and infrastructure systems.
- Aid in remediation documentation by recording before-and-after status, remediation steps, exceptions, compensating controls, and closure evidence.
- Assist with the Endpoint Detection and Response replacement project, including endpoint inventory validation, deployment tracking, agent status review, testing coordination, and documentation.
- Help compare endpoint security coverage before and after EDR deployment, including systems missing agents, systems with unhealthy agents, and systems requiring follow-up.
- Assist with EDR-related operational tasks such as reviewing deployment status, documenting alerts, organizing endpoint groups, and supporting issue tracking under supervision.
- Aid in Windows Server administration tasks, including basic server health checks, inventory review, documentation, and operational support.
- Aid in Active Directory-related tasks, including user, group, computer object, and organizational unit documentation and cleanup under supervision.
- Aid in endpoint and server patching activities, software updates, and system maintenance tracking.
- Aid in cybersecurity documentation, including system inventories, network diagrams, asset lists, access control documentation, vulnerability remediation records, and standard operating procedures.
- Aid in reviewing and organizing security-related logs, alerts, reports, and tickets under the direction of senior staff.
- Aid in endpoint security tools, antivirus/EDR status reviews, and basic troubleshooting.
- Aid in backup verification documentation and assist with tracking backup status for servers and critical systems.
- Aid in system hardening efforts using approved standards, checklists, and configuration guidance.
- Aid in assisting with special projects related to cybersecurity, vulnerability management, EDR replacement, Windows Server support, infrastructure modernization, compliance readiness, and operational readiness.
