About the role
This role supports a fast-paced healthcare communications team managing a broad portfolio of vision care campaigns, driving project execution, content development, and cross-functional coordination from kickoff through delivery.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day project lead, managing timelines, deliverables, and team task lists across multiple concurrent workstreams
- Own and shepherd materials through a regulated review and approval platform (Veeva), keeping the process moving at all times
- Draft, QA, and refine a range of communications materials, including press releases, long-form content, strategic messaging platforms, Q&As, survey communications, and congress materials
- Coordinate with internal creative, strategy, digital, and medical/regulatory teams to review and align content before client delivery
- Support integrated campaigns targeting both healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and consumer audiences
- Assist with satellite media tour preparation, executive readiness, and media relations materials
- Identify next steps proactively, flagging issues and moving work forward without waiting for direction
Requirements
- 5-10 years of relevant experience, with a background at a PR or communications agency
- Hands-on experience working within Veeva or a comparable regulated pharmaceutical review and approval system
- Strong healthcare or pharma communications background, including familiarity with MLR/MAP or similar regulatory review processes
- Demonstrated experience developing and QA-ing long-form content such as press releases, key messages, and Q&As
- Proven project management skills with the ability to track multiple workstreams, owners, and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience supporting integrated campaigns that span both professional (KOL) and consumer audiences
- Writing samples available to share that are not covered under NDA (samples must demonstrate press release or similar healthcare communications work)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing or supporting a single global client account
- Familiarity with vision care, ophthalmology, or consumer health categories
- Openness to converting to a full-time role if the opportunity arises
Pay
$55-60/hr
