About the role
This role is hybrid, requiring you to come into the Newark office 2 days a week with the flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze technical design documents; use the review process to train and share product domain knowledge with less experienced team members.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of service requests raised by internal/external clients to determine the appropriate course of action.
- Assist Client Services, Conversions, and Help Desk in meeting client needs by providing review of information relating to impact processing.
- Troubleshoot real-time test/production issues to ensure smooth operation of the impact application within prescribed productivity time frames.
- Document new or changed operational procedures associated with development and maintenance projects.
- Support the testing of enhancements and fixes, and assist functional testing groups to ensure programs function correctly and enhancements align with specifications.
- Recommend solutions and identify required program corrections to resolve client issues in day-to-day business.
- Ensure static data, configuration, and setups are accurate in all client regions to minimize functional service requests.
- Participate in peer review processes to maintain quality control standards for issues turned over to application development or systems support groups.
- Diagnose and remediate (where authorized) all production and test service requests assigned to the group.
- Attend morning batch issues meetings to review all impact™ end-of-day issues from the prior night.
- Attend internal and external project status meetings to represent impact™ issues and provide status updates on unresolved remedies to management and clients.
- Contribute to enterprise-wide metrics collection and participate in action plans.
- Develop and document workarounds for functional issues clients encounter in test or production environments.
- Assist the operations support group and service bureau personnel in resolving and executing daily operational tasks.
- Execute critical operational tasks and business conversions from a technical support perspective.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience as a software developer on the Broadridge Impact Product.
- 7–10 years of experience in iSeries-related technologies.
Skills
- IBM iSeries technologies: RPG/400, DB2/400, CL/400 Programming, ILE Concepts (CLLE, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE), SQL, ROBOT, SDA, ALDON, NDM/FTP/SFTP, MQ.
- Analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Preferably experience with Impact – US Fixed Income Product.
- Highly recommended: knowledge of mathematical aspects of bond pricing and trading, securitized assets, mortgage-backed securities, money market instruments, and fixed income back-office/clearance operations.
Pay
Hourly range: $70–80/hr. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary, including relevant experience, skills, and education.
