About the role
The City of Roseville seeks an Arts Program Leader to inspire creativity and engage the community through arts programming.
Responsibilities
- Administer and coordinate arts educational, recreational, or cultural programs in schools, community centers, libraries, or similar settings.
- Supervise staff or instructors to ensure the successful delivery of arts programs.
- Develop and implement engaging art activities that celebrate creativity, community, and diverse cultural experiences.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate arts programming into city-wide initiatives.
Requirements
- Two (2) seasons of paid experience in administering and coordinating arts educational, recreational, or cultural programs.
- Experience in supervising staff or instructors is desirable.
- Completion of the twelfth (12th) grade, GED, or higher level degree.
- Educational coursework in arts education or a related field is desirable.
- Possession of a valid California driver’s license by date of appointment.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, CPR and First Aid certificates within six (6) months of hire.
Qualifications
- Accredited college or university degree from a United States institution, or equivalent from a foreign institution.
- Verification of degree equivalency may be provided by an accredited United States college or university or an approved foreign education credential evaluation service.
Skills
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of arts education principles and practices.
