Position Accountabilities and Essential Functions

• Teach introductory and general courses in Art, English Composition (Developmental and College Level), Literature, Creative Writing, Electronic Media, Broadcasting, Journalism and Emerging Media, Music, Philosophy, Professional Writing, and World Languages and Cultures.
• Establish and promote an equitable, inclusive learning environment to maximize student learning and sense of belonging.
• Teach in a variety of formats, including incorporating online learning systems.
• Understand and work with a culturally diverse student population.
• Use email, internet-based resources, and common Office software.
• Understand ADA requirements and create accessible materials.
• Show effective interpersonal skills.
• Show understanding of Delta Mission/Vision/Values of belonging and equity.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in specific discipline or closely related field with at least 18 hours of successful graduate level coursework in specific discipline.
• Teaching experience at the community college level is considered.
