Artist in Residence

Daemen University's Visual & Performing Arts Department is seeking an Artist in Residence for the 2026/27 academic year. This voluntary position offers studio space, gallery exhibition opportunities, and access to facilities in exchange for workshops and open studio hours.

About the Role

• Dedicated studio space from 9/1/26 to 7/31/27, accessible 7 days a week during building hours.
• Solo exhibition in the campus gallery.
• Access to facilities, including custom frame-building equipment and computer labs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct four individual workshops for students, with flexibility in subject and design (in agreement with faculty).
• Deliver a talk on exhibited work followed by a Q&A session.
• Maintain regular, weekly open-studio hours (up to 4 hours per week) for student visits.
