Responsibilities
- Develop individualized goals and objectives for each student with IEP services, based upon assessment procedure and IEP team recommendation.
- Implement evidence-based practice treatment plans to meet student IEP goals and objectives.
- Maintain up-to-date log note documentation, with required components, of services delivered, prepares quarterly and annual reports for IEPs.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, collaborating with educational and other clinical staff to implement student IEPs and facilitate students’ participation with and progress in the curriculum.
- Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining materials, equipment, requisitioning supplies and organizing art therapy room.
- Participate in the mental department meetings and committees and demonstrates professional demeanor with colleagues.
- Plan/develop and deliver programmatic expressive therapy groups for students as required by school program assignment; collaborate as required with other team members to facilitate groups.
Qualifications
- Must possess and maintain licensure at the LCPAT or LGPAT level through the MD Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists.
- Professional Crisis Management (PCM) training will be provided by the department.
- The employee must achieve certification at the “Practitioner” level according to the timeline established within the departmental policy.
Education
- A Master’s Degree in Art Therapy is required.
Experience
- Two years experience in art therapy with children is preferred.
- Experience with ED/LD/DD children is required.
Pay
Minimum pay range USD $34.13/Hr.
