Art Therapist Full Time, Part Time, PRN

Responsibilities

• Use a wide range of artistic activities to improve physical, cognitive, emotional, social, spiritual, and leisure functioning of patients.
• Collaborate with clinical and residential rehabilitation teams to integrate therapeutic activity and community-based interventions.
• Assess patients and develop programs with measurable goals that incorporate specific abilities, tolerance, and interests to achieve optimal outcomes transferable to real-life situations.
• Organize and facilitate individual and group art programs/projects to enable a greater quality of life.
• Develop and implement therapeutic interventions consistent with patients’ needs and interests.
• Locate, develop, and stay current on clinical and community resources to enhance patient programs and outcomes.
• Develop curriculum to enhance treatment.
• Create and implement individualized home and community plans for patients' residential programs.

Work is full time during weekdays, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, performed at the clinic with some work at the residential site and in the community.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Art, Art Therapy, Counseling, or a healthcare-related field is required.
• Master’s in Art Therapy is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 – 5 years of related work experience.
• Certification in Recreational Therapy is desired; eligibility to sit for certification and maintaining certification is required.
• Certification in Art Therapy through the Art Therapy Credentials Board is desired.

Pay

Pay range is $71,000 – $90,000.
