About the role
Hillcrest Educational Centers is seeking a passionate Art Teacher to join their Special Education team. This role involves using creativity, patience, and innovative teaching strategies to help students with diverse learning needs express themselves, build confidence, and discover their unique talents.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, reviews, and improves the educational program for students
- Ensures that the education or service plans are in compliance with agency policies and Department of Education regulations
- Fosters a safe and creative environment conducive to learning
- Supports students in achieving success based on interests and abilities academically and socially
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Masters Degree highly desired
- Experience working in a special education setting with children highly desired
- Licenses or certification in grade-level appropriate Special Education, Moderate Disabilities, Severe Disabilities, or Subject Area preferred
- If not licensed, must be eligible for an initial waiver, enroll in license track coursework, and make sufficient progress towards licensure to maintain waiver status

$56,475 to $73,396 per year
