Job Responsibilities

The Department of History, Humanities, and Languages is looking to fill Art History Adjunct teaching positions starting in Fall 2026. We need instructors who can teach on campus twice a week, as well as online. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching day and possibly evening classes, utilizing technology, employing various teaching methods, and maintaining accurate attendance and grading records.

About the Role

This position involves teaching art history courses at the college level, utilizing technology, and maintaining accurate records. It requires a minimum of a master's degree in art history or a master's degree with 18 semester credit hours in art history at the graduate level.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education Requirement: At least a master's degree in art history OR a master's degree with 18 semester credit hours in art history at the graduate level.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience at the college level.
  • Experience: Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment due to advancements in information technology.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
