About the role
The NCCU Department of Art and Design seeks an experienced adjunct faculty member specializing in Architecture.
Responsibilities
- Prepare students for careers in architecture through in-person lectures and studio-based learning.
- Facilitate critiques and discussions to enhance student understanding and creativity.
- Explain and demonstrate digital modeling techniques and architectural precedents.
- Guide students in developing innovative architectural designs, covering topics like urban design, computational design, and representation.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Architecture (M.Arch) or a related field.
- Professional experience and/or teaching experience preferred.
- Strong digital modeling, design, and communication skills.
- Ability to mentor and support student success.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold an advanced degree such as a Master’s degree in Architecture (M.Arch), or a related field. Strong letters of reference will validate the candidate’s teaching excellence and ability to inspire students.
Skills
Proficiency in digital modeling, design, and communication skills, along with the ability to mentor and support student success.
