Art and Art History Lecturer Pool - Photography
About the role
The Department of Art and Art History at San José State University is seeking part-time faculty members to teach courses in photography and related studio arts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contemporary photography and a passion for teaching.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in photography and related studio arts
- Organize all classes within the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS)
- Participate in 1-2 faculty meetings each semester
- Provide assessment data and information to the department
Requirements
- Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography
- A clear demonstration of artistic achievement through exhibitions
- Teaching experience at the university level
- Expert level proficiency in both digital and darkroom photographic practices
- Relevant teaching experience and knowledge of lighting equipment for Studio Lighting courses
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of photographic teaching experience at the university level
Compensation
Compensation and salary range placement are determined by qualifications and experience. Anticipated starting salary ranges are provided.
