About the Role

Under immediate supervision, performs duties of average difficulty assisting in the operation of a class or similar learning situations. May perform a variety of clerical or supportive duties of average complexity. May provide services to students in a language other than English.

Qualifications

Meets proficiency requirement by one of the following:

• Successfully passing the District’s Instructional Assistant/Student Attendant exam,
• Passing CBEST,
• U.S. A.A. Degree or higher verified with transcripts reflecting degree, or
• 60+ college units verified by transcripts.

Anyone with a foreign degree must complete the Language and Written Portion of the exam. Graduation from high school or equivalent is required.
