Description
This IA position is split between Emerson High School and Emerson K-12 (same campus) and will include special education support, general classroom support, and teacher support at both schools.
Job Summary
Affords assistance to teaching staff by performing instructional tasks and maintaining an orderly classroom to foster a positive learning environment. May be tasked with duties such as classroom support, lunchroom management, library assistance, before or after school academic programs, or office support. Elementary level assignments may include crossing guard and playground duties. Duties can involve individual student support or classroom-wide responsibilities.
Education And Experience Requirements
- Must hold an Associate degree (AA) or higher
- Must have completed two years of study equivalent to 72 college quarter credit hours
- Must have passed an Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment with a score of 455 or higher
- Must have passed the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment with a score of 220 or higher
Official documentation will be required upon hire.
Must pass a criminal background check.
