Our client, a leading educational institution in Brent, Greater London, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ARP (Additional Resource Provision) Teacher to join their dynamic team. About the role

As an ARP Teacher, you will provide outstanding teaching and learning experiences to students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Your role will involve designing and delivering tailored lessons, implementing evidence-based interventions, and collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals to ensure the holistic development and wellbeing of your students.

The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of SEND best practices, a passion for inclusive education, and a proven track record of driving student progress. You will be adept at creating engaging and differentiated learning opportunities, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture, and working closely with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to support the unique needs of each student.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver tailored lessons for students with SEND
  • Implement evidence-based interventions
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support student development and wellbeing
  • Create engaging and differentiated learning opportunities
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and stakeholders to address unique student needs
  • Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification recognised in the UK
  • Extensive experience working with students with SEND, including a strong understanding of various learning needs and effective teaching strategies
  • Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with SEND research and best practices

Qualifications

  • Additional qualifications or training in SEND, such as a PGCE in SEND or a specialist teaching qualification
  • Experience working in an ARP or specialist SEND setting
  • Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and familiarity with relevant legislation and policies
  • Strong ICT skills

Pay

£40,317 - £62,496 per year, plus a SEN Allowance.
