Army Practical Nursing Specialist (68C)
About the role
The practical nursing specialist supervises or performs preventive, therapeutic, and emergency nursing care procedures under the supervision of a physician, nurse, or NCO.
Job Duties

- Change/dress wounds.
Training
Job training for a practical nursing specialist requires 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 52 weeks of Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Eligibility
- Must have an interest in joining the Army.
- Must be between 17 and 34 years old.
- Must meet height/weight requirements (see calculator below).
- No tattoos on hands, face, or above the neck (ring tattoos are acceptable).
- No history of felony-level offenses or DUIs.
- No major medical procedures that would prohibit service (please ask specific questions).
