The Army C-12 / King Air Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P) position is located in Parkersburg, WV. The role involves performing organizational and intermediate level maintenance on Army C-12 / King Air 200/350/1900 aircraft. A valid FAA A&P Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, repair, and modify aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness.
• Perform tasks on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls, and airframe components using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.
• Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.
• Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software.
• Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary.
• Perform engine run or taxi operations.
• Meet requirements to obtain certification within Twelve (12) months of employment.
• Read and interpret manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
• Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is Required.
• A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required.
• Must have the ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
• A valid Driver's License is Required.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance and pass/clear the (AR-95-20) Pre-employment Medical.

Qualifications

• Union CBA Site offers 3 levels of A&P mechanic employment, based on the number of specific years of A&P experience on the MDS Army C-12/King Air B200/350/1900, PT6 aircraft assigned.
• AM-1 - Two (2) Years of A&P mechanic experience Required, with a minimum of two (2) years specific C-12/King Air hands-on experience preferred.
• AM-2 - Five (5) years of C-12/King Air specific hands-on A&P aircraft mechanic experience is required.
• AM-3 - Ten (10) years of FAA A&P mechanic experience, and Thirteen (13) years of specific C-12/King Air aircraft experience is required.

Skills

• Possesses a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license and shows compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements.
• Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude.
• Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.
• Pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs.

Benefits

• H&W: $7.20 per hour, paid up to 40 hours a week.
• IAM Pension Plan: The Company (Employer) shall contribute to the I.A.M. National Pension Fund, National Pension Plan, for each day/hour or portion thereof, to a maximum of forty (40) hours per work week for which employees in all job classifications covered by this Agreement are entitled to receive pay under this Agreement as follows: $3.50 per hour effective June 16, 2026, for the life of the agreement.
• Company Discretionary Contribution: Effective the first full pay period following 16 January 2026, the Company will provide an employer discretionary contribution to each eligible employee of $0.50 per hour paid up to eighty (80) hours per pay period.

• Aircraft Mechanic I - $40.69
• Aircraft Mechanic II - $45.51
• Aircraft Mechanic III - $47.54
• Lead Pay: $2.05 an hour additional.
