About the role
As an Armor Soldier, you will train on tank and cavalry operations on the battlefield. You'll be part of the team that operates tanks, conducts reconnaissance, and fires weapons to engage and destroy the enemy. Soldiers in this branch will be assigned as a 19C, 19D, or 19K based on available Army opportunities and skills assessed at Basic Combat Training.
Entry Level Requirements
- Be a U.S. citizen
- 17 to 42 Years Old
- High School Diploma or GED
- Meet Tattoo Guidelines
- No Major Law Violations
- No Medical Concerns
Testing & Certifications
- 12 Nationally Recognized Certifications Available
- 22 weeks of One Station Unit Training, which includes Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training
- ASVAB Score: Combat (CO)
