Armenian Remote Interpreter

About the role

Certified Languages International (CLI) provides world‑class interpreting services, specializing in over‑the‑phone interpretation. The role handles high‑volume calls, most of which are medical in nature, serving industries such as insurance, finance, utilities, customer service and state courts. Interpreters work as freelance independent contractors from home.

Responsibilities

• Provide over‑the‑phone interpretation for CLI clients via the online portal or a landline telephone.
• Log on and off as needed to accept calls, primarily medical interpreting assignments.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States (SSN or EIN and a photo ID are required).
• Reside in the United States.
• Complete CLI’s Language Assessment.
• Not currently recruiting interpreters residing in California, New Jersey, or New York (applicants from those states should not apply).

Qualifications

• Prior interpreting experience is preferred.

Skills

• Fluency in Armenian and English.
• Strong consecutive/simultaneous interpreting abilities for telephone encounters.
