Armed Security Supervisor (71861)
About the role
We are seeking highly qualified Armed Security Supervisors and Armed Security Guards. Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a secure and safe environment, ensuring adherence to security protocols, and responding to on-site emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction and instruction to assigned security personnel through daily rounds of designated locations.
- Immediately respond to on-site emergencies, offering support as required.
- Train and supervise assigned employees, ensuring they fully understand their duties and responsibilities.
- Be available for county inspections and provide support to employees during shifts.
- Offer technical and administrative guidance to assigned personnel.
- Ensure adequate coverage to meet all county security requirements.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with security protocols, addressing any deviations and instructing staff on proper procedures.
- Respond to requests for assistance from assigned employees.
- Conduct investigations of security incidents and prepare detailed reports.
- Provide relief coverage for employees as necessary.
- Conduct roll call briefings, including:
- Inspection of assigned personnel.
- Briefing on previous shift activities and incidents.
- Discussion of potential security risks, special events, and other concerns.
- Issuance of necessary equipment, including earpiece radios.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of paid security experience within the last 3 years.
- Prior armed security experience required.
- Valid firearm permit and compliance with state/local regulations.
- Strong understanding of security procedures, emergency response, and de-escalation techniques.
- Able to work effectively under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally.
