About the role

As an Armed Security Officer at W Alabama St. in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls and more. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within the location, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required documentation, including incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol records, while following applicable armed officer procedures.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

$22.00 per hour.

• Friday: 2:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Saturday: 2:00 PM – 11:30 PM
