Armed Security Officer - Transportation Station

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at public transportation locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel and public emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicles, and surrounding perimeters, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions, policy violations, hazards, and suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Maintain required reports, incident documentation, and communications while following applicable laws, client policies, Allied Universal procedures, and post orders.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Pay Rate: $20.74 / Hour

This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
