Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entrances and exits, verify identification and/or credentials, process visitor access, and report unusual or unauthorized activity in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations with professionalism, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting security-related concerns and helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Operate access control and other security-related systems, maintain required logs, and support daily site operations through consistent adherence to post orders.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card is required.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
