About the role

As an Armed Security Officer - Transit Patrol in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to transit passengers, visitors, employees, and stakeholders while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with transit personnel and/or public emergency responders as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and help maintain orderly movement throughout assigned transit locations.
  • Prepare accurate reports and documentation related to patrol activities, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements.

Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
