Armed Security Officer - Surveillance

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will work at a financial institution location, providing customer service, responding to incidents, conducting patrols, and supporting cash-handling operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, or security-related concerns according to site protocols.
• Support cash-handling and other sensitive operational areas through visible presence, routine inspections, and timely reporting of incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance issues.

Requirements

• An armed guard card/license is required.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Skills

• Customer service skills.
• Ability to respond calmly to emergencies.
• Knowledge of security policies and procedures.
• Basic first aid and CPR certification.

DayTime: Monday 08:00 AM - 05:30 PM, Thursday 08:00 AM - 05:30 PM, Friday 08:00 AM - 05:30 PM
