About the role

This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. As a Security Officer in Leominster, MA, you will have a fixed-shift commitment with the opportunity to claim additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—up to 40 hours per week—with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at transportation-related locations.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, parking areas, perimeter areas, and assigned exterior locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, roadway-related events, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity, damaged property, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policy, and site-specific procedures.

Requirements

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• 1+ years of previous security experience.

Pay

Starting pay is $23.79 per hour. Paid orientation and paid training.

Schedule

• Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 5:45 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
