Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Route Patrol Driver in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. What You'll Do

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas; document observed conditions and report suspicious activity or hazards. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel and public agencies as needed. Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and maintaining accurate visitor and incident records. Carry assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific post orders.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
