About the role

As a Armed Security Officer - Residential Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a residential location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine vehicle and/or foot patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the residential location, including common areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter spaces.
  • Monitor access activity and help to deter unauthorized entry, trespassing, vandalism, and/or other concerning behavior within the community.
  • Support de-escalation efforts and coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and/or property personnel when situations require additional response.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Qualifications

  • Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
  • Ability to conduct thorough patrols and monitor access points.
