About the role
The Security Officer Armed Recruit role is designated for newly hired Security Officers while preparing for a successful transition to an Armed Officer role. During the 120-day transition period, all required training and certifications will be completed to progress to an Armed Security Officer role. The primary function of this transitional role is to develop the necessary skills, training, and certifications required to carry a weapon and function as a fully Armed Security Officer.
An offer of employment is contingent on passing the pre-employment screening process, which includes a fitness assessment and psychological evaluation. Once employed, incumbents have 120 days to successfully complete and obtain job-specific certifications. Failure to obtain these certifications within the prescribed timeframe will result in termination of employment. An annual fitness assessment is required, and psychological evaluations are required every 3 years as a condition of continued employment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- State DMV Motor Vehicle Record and current Valid Driver’s license (Required)
- 1 year of security, military, or police experience (Preferred)
