As an Armed Security Officer at a higher education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism. You will support students, faculty, staff, and visitors through exceptional customer service and clear communication. Position Details

• Type: Part Time
• Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour
• Schedule: Friday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM, Saturday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM, Sunday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, campus policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, and policy violations in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Carry authorized equipment and perform armed post duties in accordance with applicable laws, training, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have at least six months of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer service experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR certification.
