Responsibilities
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response Driver in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving role offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access control points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
- Complete accurate reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Requirements
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
