Armed Security Officer Part Time Patrol Driver

About the Role

This is a part-time, armed security patrol driver position based in Austin, TX. The role offers a fixed weekly shift with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts through a scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. This arrangement provides income stability while offering the option to work part-time or build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of retail sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor customer and employee access points, observe for suspicious activity, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a retail environment.

Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• Friday: 06:00 AM – 02:45 PM
• Saturday: 06:00 AM – 02:45 PM

$26.50 / Hour
