About the role
As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while demonstrating Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized individuals at a government corrections location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and maintain awareness of inmate movement and facility activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate observations and concerns to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Possess at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Armed guard card or license is preferred.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$21.50 / Hour

- Friday: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
- Saturday: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
