About the role

As an Armed Security Officer at a retail location in Houston, TX, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate professionally with store leadership, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Schedule

• Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Sunday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay

$22.00 per hour.
