As an Armed Security Officer Part Time Day Shift in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This driving post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver's license. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and uphold Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry when applicable, and document visitor activity, incidents, observations, and actions taken in required reports.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
