You will conduct routine patrols, monitor activity, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. Provide professional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, incident, and patrol activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain assigned equipment, including authorized firearms, in accordance with applicable laws, training, post orders, and Allied Universal policies.

Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
