About the role

As an Armed Security Officer - Part Time Afternoons in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls and more. This role involves conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, and responding to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store patrons, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, and document observations, incidents, and actions taken according to site requirements.
• Maintain assigned firearms and other equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, and Allied Universal policies.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

$22.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Wednesday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thursday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
